Spice Girls Mel B and Baby Spice Plan Acting Careers



Now that Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown have conquered the music world, they’ve set their sets on a new career: Acting.I’ve just been offered Legally Blonde on Broadway,” Mel B said Tuesday night at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London, where the Spice Girls won Band of the Year.
“I’m going to go out to see about it next week,” she said. And husband Stephen Belafonte, 33, showed his support by adding “She’s done Rent before, she would be great!”

Brown, 33, added: “Then I have our sitcom we’re working on and my Project Runway show. I’m launching my clothes line through that, hopefully this year.”

Spice pal, Emma Bunton, 32 – who picked up the award with Brown, and fellow Spice Girl Geri Halliwell – has also set her sights on becoming an actress. Baby Spice said, “I’m really looking forward to doing some acting – a TV drama, maybe something a bit gritty.”

Reading scripts and being mom to her 9-month-old old son Beau is currently how Bunton spends her days. “I have had some amazing offers but it’s about picking the right thing. Obviously now having a child – that’s my priority.”

Avril Lavigne To Launch Her Own Fragrance


According to recent reports, with millions of albums sold Avril Lavigne has just signed a deal with Procter & Gamble Prestige Products to produce a fragrance debuting Fall 2009. On plans to have her own fragrance Avril Lavigne commented, “I am pleased to be working with Procter & Gamble on releasing my first fragrance. Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone.”

Young teenage girls really aspire to Avril and love everything about her. We think we can reach out to new consumers with her scents. It’s about finding which brands appeal to young consumers and [which] fashion and celebrities are resonant with them.

According to recent news, Sex and The City actress Kristin Davis has announced plans to launch her own line of signature fashions. For the line of dresses, knits, jeans, handbags, shoes, jewelry and lingerie, priced between $38-$240 - which will go on-sale this Fall, Kristin Davis has teamed up with North Carolina retailer Belk to develop the brand new collection.

The only way I would have done a line of clothing is to do it at Belk. I feel like I understand what the Southern woman wants to wear — it’s influenced my personal style so much growing up in the South.

Fabulous Halle Berry Talks About Motherhood & Getting Back Into Shape


Halle Berry is taking her time to get back on the scene since she is busy and enjoying her new life with 2-month-old baby Nahla. Of course Halle didn’t lose any time to get back into shape – she has now a rocking post-pregnancy body (photos).

Are you enjoying becoming a mother at last?
This is the most beautiful time of my life. Having a baby has made me so happy and fulfilled, I just can’t express in words how I really feel. To be able to nurse and bond with my daughter is such a joy. It’s been a long, long wait!

Did you know you were going to have a girl?
Gabriel and I both agreed that we would rather not know and let it be a wonderful surprise. I just felt a lot more comfortable not knowing.

Has Nahla brought the two of you closer together?
From the beginning, Gabriel was someone I felt I could feel very close and loving to, and I also knew from early on that he was the kind of man who would love a child as much as me. I’m happy just being with a man who loves me unconditionally and is looking forward to the future with me.

Has being a mom changed your approach to your acting career?
I’m definitely going to work less. I used to put so much pressure on myself to succeed that it often made me very unhappy in my personal life, and I felt on the verge of burning out three or four years ago. Also, I feel having a baby will open up a whole new world for me. I think I’ll actually find better roles, because I’ve gotten past being the ingénue and sex symbol.

But you look as gorgeous as ever! Was it tough getting back into shape?
It’s been kind of tough. But I have a great trainer [LA-based trainer Ramona Braganza] and we’ve been working out an hour a day, five days a week, for the past month. I didn’t want it to take five months to get back my figure. It was something I wanted to take care of now and just not worry about. I feel really good.

Have you been able to fit in any other time for yourself?
Well, Nahla is keeping me pretty busy with feedings, but it’s always a pleasure to oblige. Gabriel and I also plan to sleep again in a few months, as soon as Nahla’s nighttime feeding schedule allows!

Super hot actress Cameron Diaz shares some secrets to keep her body in shape, to feel good with herself and getting old in the new issue of UK Shape Magazine.

On being in her 30s – “Everything gets easier when you get older. You have a lot more experience and enough restraint to rethink that impulse to behave a certain way, because you know where it’s going to end. You have a strategy of how to get to a happier place.”

On being wiser in relationships – “I think I finally know the way love works best. Basically, the most important thing it to really know yourself.”

On being single – “I love being alone – I love it! I’m good at it. But not in a weird way, not like leave me alone – it’s just I’m very comfortable by myself.”

Her secret to looking so good for her age – “I hike, snowboard and surf. I admit I do hire a personal trainer as well, but for me working out is a big part of keeping mind and body together.”

On her diet
– “I eat healthily but love my burgers, and if you put a bowel of French fries near me, then it’s over. Normally, though, I’ll have a half-order of something and save the leftovers. I’m queen of leftovers.”

Will she still be making movies in 10 years time? – “Whatever I’m doing, I just hope that I’m happy. It might be milking a cow that makes me happy!”

Johnny Depp’s New Tattoo: What the hell was he thinking??



Johnny Depp was the big winner of the 2008 MTV Movies Awards, accepting awards for Best Comedic Performance and Best Villain. Taking a break from “Public Enemies”, Johnny sets the crowd on fire and reveals a brand new tattoo.
Yeah, what the hell was Johnny Depp thinking doing a tattoo that doesn’t read “C7Girl Forever” on his arm?? The beautiful tattoo has a deeper meaning… “Silence, Exile, Cunning.”
It’s a quote from the James Joyce’s book “A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man“. At five pages of the end of the book, we can find this quote, from the main character Stephen:

“I will tell you what I will do and what I will not do. I will not serve that in which I no longer believe, whether it call itself my home, my fatherland, or my church: and I will try to express myself in some mode of life or art as freely as I can and as wholly as I can, using for my defense the only arms I allow myself to use - silence, exile, and cunning.”

Eva Longoria- Stands for HOPE! Inaugural 5k Charity Run/Walk



Desperate Housewife actress Eva Longoria was running in red at the Hope! 5K Charity Run/Walk for Padres Contra El Cancer at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles on Saturday. El Cancer, organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families, hosted its inaugural 5k Run/Walk at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

National Spokespersons Eva Longoria Parker and Fernando Del Rincon, joined close to 800 runners and walkers in raising more than fifty thousand dollars.

I am so happy that today was such a wonderful success. This was our inaugural run/walk and it was rewarding to be amongst almost 800 people who found a common cause in PADRES Contra El Cancer and their support of children with cancer and their families.
