SIENNA MILLER

Biography

Sienna Rose Miller has always had a flare for drama. "I've wanted to be an actress for as long as I can remember, and I can say I was almost born in the theater,” she boasts. “My mum went into labor while she was watching the Nutcracker Suite in New York -- apparently I was kicking like mad." Sienna Miller sprang into the world several hours later on December 28, 1981.

Although she was born in the Big Apple, Sienna Miller grew up in England, where she was educated at the prestigious Heathfield School in Ascot, Berkshire. It was there that she first discovered her love of acting, and Sienna returned to New York at the age of 18 to enroll at the world renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. It proved to be a savvy move for the young beauty, and she soon began starring in a number of well-received off-Broadway productions of Independence, Cigarettes and Chocolate and A School for Scandal.

Buoyed by her success, Sienna Miller returned to England in 2001 to star in South Kensington, a cute romantic comedy featuring Rupert Everett. Her engaging performance in the movie led to additional offers, and she was promptly cast in the films High Speed (2002) and The Ride (2002). Sienna also enjoyed meatier recurring roles in the television series Bedtime and Keen Eddie, in which she played the flirtatious roommate of a New York City cop assigned to work in London. The enjoyable but short-lived show earned her a Teen Choice Award nomination for Choice TV Break Out Star and cemented her reputation as one of Britain’s most engaging young stars.

The latter introduced her to handsome leading man Jude Law, and the couple became engaged less than a year later, on December 25, 2004. Sadly, their relationship was torn apart in July 2005, when Sienna discovered that Law had been having a torrid affair with his former nanny, Daisy Wright.
