Victoria Beckham Auction Spice Girls Reunion Tour Costume For Charity

Victoria Beckham is auctioning off her glittering collection of outfits from the Spice Girls world tour in a bid to raise $2 million for charity. The style icon is putting all six of her Roberto Cavalli-designed costumes from the band's comeback tour earlier this year to raise funds for a children's charity, which is managed by her mom Jackie Adams.

The items being sold include a minidress covered in Swarovski crystals, thought to be worth $500,000, and the infamous gold corset and leggings the star wore, which are going under the hammer for $60,000.

A spokesman for Beckham says, "Victoria is putting together various ideas for the sale. She would consider offers from individuals - for the right price.

It's time for any high-rollers out there to get their checkbooks out."

The details of the charity auction have not been announced, but the former Spice Girl has reportedly flown the items to a safe storage facility in the U.K., according to Britain's OK! magazine.

Victoria Beckham denied reports that she is keen to became a big Hollywood movie for the simple fact that she is a terrible actress. The singer said she is using her friendships with Hollywood’s Celebrity couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to break into the industry, claiming she has been inundated with film roles and she turned them down.

Victoria Beckham has insisted that she doesn't want to launch a movie career in the US.

The Spice Girl claimed that she will be turning down any offers that she receives after moving to the States with her family.

Beckham starred in Spice World with her fellow band members in 1997, but her performance was slated and she does not feel confident enough to do it again.

"I really wasn't that good," Victoria admitted. "I must be the only person in LA that doesn't want to be in films."

“It’s a huge slap in the face,” Kitson boutqiue owner Fraser Ross said. “Her people told us that we won’t be getting an in-store appearance because Victoria was angry about all the negative press she got here and things I said. So instead of trying to fix it, she’s just snubbing us at a time when the U.S. economy really needs a boost.”

Victoria Caroline Adams was born April 17, 1974, in Hertfordshire, England. She has two siblings, brother Christian and sister Louise, and her parents, Jackie and Tony, ran a successful electrical wholesale business and were well-off by most standards.

As a child, Victoria was surprisingly lonely; other children often teased her because of her acne and she would even ask her father not to drop her off in front of school so as not to be seen in the family's Rolls-Royce.

Such a personality made her an unlikely candidate for pop stardom, but Victoria Beckham found herself in a band while in school. She studied at the Jason Theatre School as a child and moved on to the Laine Arts Theatre College, where she also dabbled in dance and modeling.

Although her original band never took off, her life was forever changed when she decided to answer an ad in The Stage that was looking for five women who could sing and dance to form a group.

Little did Victoria know that this ad would lead to a group called the Spice Girls, which would leave an indelible mark in music history.

Released in 1996, the Spice Girls' first single, "Wannabe," and their debut album, Spice, were smash hits in the U.S. and abroad.
